SJ 651117 Sunday: 10.00 - 10.30am - check with tower correspondent The tenor was cast by Thomas Mears I of London in 1798 and the remainder of the back six by Abraham Rudhall I of Gloucester in 1713. The trebles were added by John Taylor & Co. in 1890. The bells are all flat-topped and were tuned and rehung in a new metal frame by Mears and Stainbank in 1929. The lower frame is laid out as Pickford 6.1: A2, B4, C5, D6, E7, F8. The back four pits are low sided while A and B have modified H frames with 1 and 3 hung above them in low-sided frames. Access to the ringing room is via a short staircase in the base of the entrance vestibule. A toilet is available at the foot of the stairs. The church is next to the railway station on the Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton line.
