Sutton Maddock, St Mary

5 bells, tenor 7-0-9 in Ab                      Ground floor                       SJ 719014

Sunday: 10.30 - 11.00am (2nd) - check with tower correspondent

The three heaviest bells were cast by Abraham Rudhall I of Gloucester in 1700 and the remaining bells by John Rudhall in 1810. In 1964 the bells were tuned and rehung by John Taylor & Co in a metal, low-sided frame for six. (Pickford 6.1: A empty; B1; C2; D3; E4; F5.)

The bells are rung from the base of the tower, partly round the font, in an area which is open to the back of the nave.

The church is in an attractive but rather isolated setting. Parking is available outside the churchyard gate.
